Amazing Ladakh

Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, Leh, you will be received and transferred to your hotel. Since Leh is situated at a high altitude, complete rest is highly recommended for proper acclimatization. In the afternoon, if you feel comfortable, visit Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Later, enjoy a gentle walk through Leh Main Market, explore local handicrafts, pashmina shops, Tibetan souvenirs, and cafes. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day cultural sightseeing tour along the Indus Valley. Shey Palace – The former summer capital of Ladakh, known for its giant copper-gilded Buddha statue. Thiksey Monastery – One of the largest and most impressive monasteries in Ladakh, famous for its 15-meter Maitreya Buddha statue. Hemis Monastery – The richest monastery in Ladakh, belonging to the Drukpa lineage and renowned for its annual Hemis Festival. Return to Leh by afternoon. Evening free to explore the market or relax at the hotel. Overnight stay in Leh

After early breakfast, drive towards Nubra Valley, crossing the world-famous Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Karakoram Range. Descend into Nubra Valley, also known as the “Valley of Flowers.” Visit: Diskit Monastery – Home to the large Maitreya Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Hunder Sand Dunes – Experience the unique cold desert landscape and optional double-humped Bactrian camel ride. Check-in at camp or guesthouse. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

After breakfast, drive towards the mesmerizing Pangong Lake (4,350 m) via the scenic Shayok route. The journey offers dramatic landscapes with river valleys and rugged mountains. Pangong Lake is a high-altitude brackish water lake extending from India to Tibet. The lake is famous for its ever-changing shades of blue. Spend time enjoying the peaceful surroundings, photography, and sunset views by the lake. Overnight stay at camp/guesthouse near Pangong Lake.

Wake up early to witness a beautiful sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh crossing Chang La Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in Ladakh. En route, you may visit: Hemis Monastery (if not covered earlier) Druk Padma Karpo School (Rancho School) Thiksey Monastery (if missed) Arrive in Leh by afternoon. Evening free for last-minute shopping or relaxation. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of Ladakh’s landscapes, culture, and adventure. Tour ends with beautiful memories of the Himalayas.
